State Designated Agency (SDA):-

1. To coordinate regulate and enforce the provisions of the Energy Conservation Act 2001.
2. To take all measures to create awareness and disseminate information for efficient use of energy and its conservation through electronic and print media apart from organizing various workshops, conferences, technical meets and competitions.
3. To coordinate and liaise with Bureau of Energy Efficiency, different stake holders,  State Government Departments dealing with energy, industry, planners, regulators, consumer affairs, municipal bodies etc. and undertaking various activities to promote energy efficiency and energy conservation.
4. To provide training, research and development facility for the planning and implementation of programs for energy efficiency and energy conservation.
