Visit of Al Gore at Indraprastha Thermal Power Station (ITPS)
Former Vice President of United States of America (USA) and co-recipient Nobel Peace Prize 2007, Al Gore, visited 3MWp SPV plant dedicated to Delhi Secretariat at Indraprastha Thermal Power Station (ITPS). Sh. K.K.Sharma, Chief Secretary, GNCp, Sh. Sukesh Jain Secretary (Power), GNCp, Sh. A.K. Bisht Special Secretary (Power), GNCp were also present during visit. Sh. R. K. Srivastava apprised Al Gore about the installation and commissioning details of Plant. Al Gore appreciated the efforts of Delhi Government in field of Renewable Energy.

Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy management centre, GNCp bagged Ist prize in category of smaller state with the highest number of CST installation at Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) Technology Excellence Awards program organized by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) held on 29thApril 2016 at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi. Sh. Sukesh Jain , Secretary (Power), GNCp received the award from Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Power, GOI on behalf of EE & REM centre.
