It is necessary to purchase the equipment from BIS / MNRE approved Manufacturers / Suppliers or their Authorized Dealers. The equipment is to be sold to Domestic Electricity Consumers at the rebated cost after reducing the amount of rebate / incentive of Rs.6000/- bring provided by Delhi Government against self attested copy of last paid electricity bill. The electricity bill should be in the name of the consumer of SWH and supply type should be domestic. The rebate / incentive amount is to be subsequently claimed by the Manufacturer / Supplier / Dealer from the Centre on fortnightly basis after installation of the SWH at site. The amount shall be released to Manufacturer / Supplier / Dealer through ECS after necessary verification of the installed equipment at site. In case of Dealers, the amount can be released directly to them without routing through Manufacturer / Supplier

The EE & REM Centre is not registering / empanelling the manufacturers or suppliers of solar water heater. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) grants license to Manufacturers of Flat Plate Collector based Solar Water Heaters. The Suppliers of Evacuated Tube Collector based Solar Water Heaters are approved by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. For Delhi Government rebate /incentive scheme BIS / MNRE approved vendors are eligible.
